Materials Used in Vessel Sinks
I may have mentioned this in a previous post, but there are just so many different materials when it comes to sinks of the vessel shape that I have to dedicate a post just the materials they come in. Whatever your bathroom looks like or what you want it to look like, you can get one of these sinks to suit it.
Probably the original material to be used when it comes to speaking historically about the vessel is stone. It looks lovely and when you use it, it feels like something natural but looks great at the same time. You should consider a stone sink.
A classy material to use, or rather choose, when it comes to your new sink is the glass one. Since there are many types that glass comes in means that you will have choices when within choosing glass initially. Frosted or clear or otherwise, you can get the right glass vessel sinks for you.
Mosaic tile sinks are the loveliest of the vessel type in my opinion. You can get some very ornate ones and even some simple ones that look just brilliant. Multi-colored and sometimes with great patterns this type could be your type and match your bathroom perfectly or give it that added something that it has been missing all these years.
When it comes to those of us that have not been hit terribly hard by the 2009 economic downturn then you will have another option. The material for you is marble.You probably want to make sure that your entire bathroom is marble otherwise just the sink on its own will not look that great. However, this is not always true. Sometimes a marble sink can improve the look of a shabby bathroom but you need to make sure first or else it can look ugly.
You must not forget the traditional vessel sink material - china or else porcelain. Most sinks are of this material anyway as a standard and come in white. If you are a conservative person or just like the traditional, then maybe a vessel material of this type is the right for you.
